Only a few days remaining before the RUNNING MAN IN MANILA “A DECADE OF LAUGHTER” TOUR which is scheduled on February 9, 2020 at MOA Arena. This marks the first concert of Running Man in the Philippines.
Running Man is a variety show in South Korea, which started airing on July 11, 2010. This year (2020) marks the variety show’s 10th anniversary and the first country they would be visiting for their concert tour is the Philippines.
It was reported that in just a mere 1-3 hours, the tickets were already sold out. This a great achievement not only for the Running Man members but also for their fans in the Philippines. MOA Arena has a seating capacity of 15,000.
I have personally witnessed how difficult it was to buy tickets to their concert as I’ve entered the site at exactly 12:00 and was entered into a queueing system. When it was already my turn, there were no more tickets. After refreshing for what seemed like a thousand times, I was able to buy 1 general admin and 1 lower box ticket. The tickets were supposed to be for me and my husband however, I couldn’t be choosy at that time so I grabbed the available tickets. I was just grateful that we were able to buy tickets because there were a lot of people who lined up in SM ticket centers across the Philippines but weren’t successful in buying tickets. Some even camped out and stared queueing the night before. That was how difficult it was to buy tickets for their show.
They even beat concerts by Winner and Seventeen, KPOP bands which I truly admire but my husband wasn’t into KPOP but both of us love Running Man so we chose Running Man concert tickets over the KPOP concerts. It was a pity that the concert dates were too close so I really had to choose one. I was really hoping to go to Winner’s concert too. I will just watch Winner’s concert next time.
Anyway, I’m just happy that I was able to buy Running Man concert tickets online. I was able to have my online tickets converted into actual ones at SM Novaliches Cinema ticket outlet. I can’t wait to record a lot of fun moments, for my personal use of course.
Now that I have tickets, I’m just too excited to watch Running Man Concert but first things first. What do we need to be prepared for the concert?
- Well Charged Cellphone – since DSLR’s or any other cameras are not allowed. It would be a shame not to be able to capture some great moments. Even if you’re sitting at the highest spot, capturing the moment with co-RM fans is a must.
- Face masks (especially surgical masks) – we should buy masks to use at the concert since it is required by the management. Because of the scary contagious coronavirus, everyone is required to wear a mask. No mask, no entry so make sure you have your masks with you. Speaking of masks, it is said that it is better to use surgical masks. As of the moment, I only have n95 and black cloth masks with filters but I would be buying surgical masks before the concert day.
- Concert Ticket – this is already a given and I shouldn’t include this on my list but there are times that we’re too excited about something that we tend to forget the most basic things. So yeah, I’ve included this on the list. Make sure that your concert ticket is safe from rain and intact.
- Debit/Credit Card and ID – make sure to bring both of these with you especially if you bought your tickets online. Bring these in case there are ticket disputes and you never know when you’re going to need these. Aside from your Debit/Credi cards, don’t forget your money of course, since there might not be a working ATM nearby.
- Running Man shirt, caps, lightsticks, banners, and other merchandise – bring these to show your love and support for Running Man. It makes the atmosphere and photos very festive and fun. And since I wouldn’t be sitting with my husband nor my best friend, I will bring a stuffed doll of Liu (Jae Suk’s counterpart) from Running Man Animated version to accompany me during the concert.
- Veger Powerbank – This is probably one of the most important thing to bring with you. As much as cellphones are important, it is very important to have a power bank with you since you might run out of battery at a very crucial moment.

a) Taking pictures and videos of the queueing up and waiting for the concert to start is so much fun especially if you’re with your friends or loved ones. After all, I’ve been waiting a long time to watch Running Man members perform live in a concert. I really don’t want to be disappointed and see an almost empty cellphone battery at a time when I should be documenting a memorable moment.
